Marian Podgoreanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 20thth minute of the game Abelardo Neiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Marian Podgoreanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of DJVAGALUMY FC. booed when FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihai Odobescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marian Podgoreanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulinho Zanette went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After having played for 33 minutes, Pedro Luís Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DJVAGALUMY FC.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Luís Vieira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th match minute, DJVAGALUMY FC. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. Marian Podgoreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís Vieira in the 46th minute of the match. After the first half DJVAGALUMY FC. were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abelardo Neiva made a kick off. Emanuel Finteșteanu hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute of the match Pedro Luís Vieira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marian Podgoreanu skillfully saved the ball. Marian Podgoreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulinho Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abelardo Neiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Marian Podgoreanu made a huge save. With an all-out effort, DJVAGALUMY FC.'s Marian Podgoreanu threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Paulinho Zanette, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 75th match minute, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gigel Câmpeanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Abelardo Neiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DJVAGALUMY FC. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. 91 minutes into the match, Abelardo Neiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marian Podgoreanu. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abelardo Neiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. Deivid de Alcântara was extremely unlucky when he, in the 94th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. DJVAGALUMY FC. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
