Gilson Donatello started the match with the kick off. Ruben Felipo's late challenge caught a S S Palestra Italia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruben Felipo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of S S Palestra Italia booed when Nina fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Felipo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Rômulo Trigo from long distance, 6 minutes into the match, got Leonides Eladio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Caetano Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Eladio having to interfere. Ladislao Stephen's late challenge caught a S S Palestra Italia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ladislao Stephen helped the player get up and apologised. 15 minutes into the match, Honorio Salomone notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of S S Palestra Italia's Gustavo Fernandes. Gustavo Fernandes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gustavo Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Salomone in the 19th minute of play. Gustavo Fernandes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Honorio Salomone went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Gilson Donatellos short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Leonides Eladio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Savion in the 29th minute of play forced S S Palestra Italia's goalkeeper Gustavo Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilson Donatello in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leonides Eladio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Honorio Salomone blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gustavo Fernandes having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as S S Palestra Italia's Gilson Donatello slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Leonides Eladio. That made the score 1-2 after 36 minutes of play. A collision led to S S Palestra Italia getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Olavo Pitta hit a great ball. Nina fc's Honorio Salomone got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Nina fc were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Honorio Salomone made a kick off. Gonzalo Savion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute Caetano Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Eladio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute Honorio Salomone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th match minute, S S Palestra Italia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavo Pitta to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Salomone in the 86th minute of play forced S S Palestra Italia's goalkeeper Gustavo Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustavo Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorio Salomone, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 94th match minute, S S Palestra Italia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavo Pitta to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olavo Pitta during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 96 played minutes S S Palestra Italia got a freekick which was hit by Olavo Pitta. The S S Palestra Italia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Nina fc were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
