Radomir Watarz's late challenge caught a TLAMET Y TLASAK 100PRE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Pogoń Staszów fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zbigniew Giertych should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute Epifanio Bernabel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbigniew Giertych saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

With splendid footwork Epifanio Bernabel arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-7 by the left pole in the game's 77th minute.
