With a little luck, Leon Sport Club's Humberto Senna got control of the ball when Carlos Alberto Passos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Alberto Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Humberto Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yuri Pitta struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Nando Moreno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leon Sport Club. 27 minutes into the match, Kilian Mbappè notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Leon Sport Club's Humberto Senna. Humberto Senna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 31 played minutes Leon Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Arce. With his leg Humberto Senna managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Red Bull Magnus's Adhemar das Neves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Adhemar das Neves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humberto Senna was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. 42 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Passos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Humberto Senna. Carlos Alberto Passos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Leon Sport Club's Humberto Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Leon Sport Club from getting a goal against them.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anderson Gerber made a kick off. After 54 minutes, Anderson Gerber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leon Sport Club and the Red Bull Magnus players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Leon Sport Club getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Anderson Gerber hit a great ball. Leon Sport Club's Humberto Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar das Neves in the 55th minute of play. When Adhemar das Neves came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Red Bull Magnus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adhemar das Neves couldn't finish the play. After 60 played minutes Leon Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Tróia. Matthis De Ligt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Humberto Senna having to make a save. Nando Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Carlos Alberto Passos made a precise shot to the right of Humberto Senna. Leon Sport Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Nando Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After some careless play in the Leon Sport Club defense, Adhemar das Neves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Humberto Senna. The Leon Sport Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Senna should have stopped the shot.
