Julian Birila charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julian Birila the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Palermo's Julian Birila got a free kick in the 4th minute. Teofilo Federigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Baldovino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teofilo Federigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Pero, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Teofilo Federigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Baldovino in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Gladiadores's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Hondo came free, but Cortez Obispo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rafael Hondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julian Birila took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cortez Obispo. Gladiadores's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Gladiadores's goalkeeper Cortez Obispo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uriel Georgiev. Rafael Hondo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cortez Obispo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Cortez Obispo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rafael Hondo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Gladiadores's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Hondo came free, but Cortez Obispo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matan Brito in the 24th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Teofilo Federigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Palermo's Uriel Georgiev dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Cortez Obispo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Hondo in the 36th minute of play. With 38 minutes on the clock, Igor Luix commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 39th minute, Igor Luix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julian Birila struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Cortez Obispo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palermo. When Siro Theobald fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gladiadores's protests and gave Siro Theobald a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Palermo booed when Gladiadores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Theobald didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Rafael Hondo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cortez Obispo, 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.
Cortez Obispo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Hondo in the 57th minute of play. Palermo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Julian Birila in the 58th minute. The corner led Palermo's Julian Birila to fire away a dangerous shot which Cortez Obispo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Palermo got a corner. Gladiadores's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Julian Birila ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Palermo's corner Julian Birila fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cortez Obispo quite easily take care of the ball. Cortez Obispo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Hondo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Gladiadores getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Mauricio Baldovino hit a great ball. In the 74th minute of the match Julian Birila sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cortez Obispo skillfully saved the ball. Matan Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Teofilo Federigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Hondo in the 77th minute of play forced Gladiadores's goalkeeper Cortez Obispo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Hondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cortez Obispo having to interfere. Cortez Obispo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Georgiev in the 82nd minute of play. In the 86th minute Rafael Hondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cortez Obispo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Uriel Georgiev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cortez Obispo. Gladiadores's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Uriel Georgiev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in Palermo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! 93 minutes into the game, Mauricio Baldovino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Teofilo Federigo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cortez Obispo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Hondo in the 96th minute of play. When the match clock showed 98 minutes, the score became 8-1 when Jacinto Mino sped through Gladiadores's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cortez Obispo. Palermo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
