When Natalio Peyo fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grosso United's protests and gave Natalio Peyo a yellow card for diving instead. Natalio Peyo hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute of the match Mario Peio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saturnino Romo skillfully saved the ball. Grosso United's Saturnino Romo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herminio Vincente in the 7th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Lyons got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Enol. In the 13th minute Reynaldo Pietro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Ferran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute Marco Quirze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Romo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Vincente in the 19th minute of play forced Grosso United's goalkeeper Saturnino Romo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grosso United's Saturnino Romo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Ibar in the 22nd minute of play. Saturnino Romo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Quirze in the 23rd minute of the match. Saturnino Romo came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Lyons's Victor Ibar. But to his dismay, Victor Ibar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Saturnino Romo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Vincente, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 33rd match minute, Lyons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Jaunti to maneuver through the defense. Grosso United's Saturnino Romo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Quirze in the 36th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Lyons's Marco Quirze nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saturnino Romo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 40 minutes into the game, Victor Ibar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Saturnino Romo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute, Marco Quirze made a precise shot to the right of Saturnino Romo. Grosso United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuel Iago to make the kick off. Herminio Vincente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Saturnino Romo made a huge save. Saturnino Romo was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Agustin Jaunti capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Agustin Jaunti really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. After having played for 62 minutes, Carolo Urbasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grosso United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carolo Urbasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Herminio Vincente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Saturnino Romo made a huge save. In the 68th match minute, Grosso United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natalio Peyo to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Herminio Vincente dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Saturnino Romo, 0-8. Severino Iruinea kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Herminio Vincente's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Saturnino Romo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Grosso United's Saturnino Romo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Grosso United from getting a goal against them. After 78 minutes of play, Lyons's Herminio Vincente made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Saturnino Romo was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Grosso United's Saturnino Romo got control of the ball when Victor Ibar tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Lyons's Marco Quirze dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-10. 86 minutes into the game, Jeremias Ferman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grosso United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lyons the free kick. After 86 played minutes Grosso United got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Ferman. 91 minutes into the match, Marco Quirze notched a goal, 0-11, to the right of Grosso United's Saturnino Romo. Saturnino Romo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 94 minutes into the match, Grosso United's goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Vincente came free, but Saturnino Romo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lyons's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
