Horia Caranică kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the game, Garry Westerby was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TibaDons's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Progresul Pitesti the free kick. After a rather tough play, TibaDons's Garry Westerby got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 14 played minutes TibaDons got a freekick which was hit by Garry Westerby. Ollie Clark was a little too slow when Lucian Panțuru got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-0. Lucian Panțuru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ollie Clark having to interfere. Dragoş Oloieru kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 30 played minutes Progresul Pitesti got a freekick which was hit by Lucian Panțuru. After some careless play in the TibaDons defense, Lucian Panțuru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ollie Clark. The TibaDons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ollie Clark should have stopped the shot. Emil Şandru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grant Cornish in the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

In the 56th minute, Nistor Ghelmegean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. During the 57th minute of the match Callum Windsor completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Callum Windsor a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, TibaDons's Callum Windsor got a free kick in the 58th minute. Ollie Clark showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dragoş Oloieru in the 63rd minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, TibaDons's goal looked a bit too open when Dragoş Oloieru came free, but Ollie Clark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Progresul Pitesti booed when TibaDons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Austen Bull didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 minutes of play, Progresul Pitesti's Horia Caranică made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ollie Clark was left in no man's land by his defense there! 76 minutes into the match, Lucian Panțuru notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of TibaDons's Ollie Clark. Ollie Clark was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ollie Clark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucian Panțuru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Lucian Panțuru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ollie Clark was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. In the 81st minute, one of TibaDons:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for TibaDons. Ollie Clark had in the 83rdth minute some difficulties stopping Sabin Vulpăşin's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Lucian Panțuru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, TibaDons's goal looked a bit too open when Dragoş Oloieru came free, but Ollie Clark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dragoş Oloieru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ollie Clark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
