He was immediately shown a red card. 9 minutes into the game, one of Westbam:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 12 minutes into the match, Durval Tinoco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tony Arruda. Westbam's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Durval Tinoco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Olgierd Deput had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, Teofil Skaradowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the game, Westbam's Teofil Skaradowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tostão Cardoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 21st match minute, Westbam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Buinton to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedrão Hoffmann got free with Tony Arruda in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tony Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Paulo Luz in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Westbam's Leon Gaszynski got a free kick in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Westbam's Teofil Skaradowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tostão Cardoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 31st match minute, Westbam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wasyl Zahemski to maneuver through the defense. Tony Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrão Hoffmann in the 33rd minute of the match. Tony Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Paulo Luz in the 35th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Teofil Skaradowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Westbam's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montesclarense E.C. the free kick. In the 35th minute, Teofil Skaradowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Westbam's Klement Pawlak got a free kick in the 39th minute. Pedrão Hoffmann had several of the Westbam's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 40 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Tony Arruda as he didn't even see the shot coming. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Olgierd Deput managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westbam's supporters rose to their feet, but Olgierd Deput was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tostão Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
If Teofil Skaradowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tony Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrão Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tony Arruda came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Montesclarense E.C.'s Pedrão Hoffmann. But to his dismay, Pedrão Hoffmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the last second Tostão Cardoso throw himself and got hold of the ball when Teofil Skaradowski in the 70thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Tostão Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olgierd Deput, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Luiz Cavalcante charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Cavalcante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Westbam booed when Montesclarense E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Cavalcante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tony Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrão Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Westbam's Tony Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Luz in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Westbam's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrão Hoffmann came free, but Tony Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davi Campidelis in the 90th minute of play. Tony Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrão Hoffmann in the 91st minute of the match. Tostão Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olgierd Deput in the 96th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Bartosz Mochowak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Westbam fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
