The supporters of Buenaventura FC booed when Salud y República was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iván Vila didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Orlando Ramírez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, Iván Vila left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salud y República fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Alberto Aizprua charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Juan Carlos Suciu came out of the goal and Pablo Bermudez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th match minute, Salud y República was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fructuoso Echavarri to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Solustiano Feal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
