In the 38th minute Matias Elazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray McLeish saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aquiles Quico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Connolly, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Aquiles Quico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Connolly in the 44th minute of play. Aquiles Quico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Wallace in the 45th minute of the match. A collision led to Nottingham Miedo getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Astor Illart hit a great ball. The Nottingham Miedo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Smiddy Celts were winning 0-1.

Smiddy Celts's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Connolly was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Johnny Clyne hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd match minute, Nottingham Miedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfredo Gora to maneuver through the defense. Jack Griffin made in the 69th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which David Connolly however managed to control. David Connolly recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Connolly's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Aquiles Quico firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ray McLeish showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Phelipe in the 78th minute of the match. Nottingham Miedo's Matias Elazar got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Matias Elazar off the ground. A collision led to Nottingham Miedo getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Matias Elazar hit a great ball. After 85 played minutes Smiddy Celts got a freekick which was hit by Jack Griffin. In the 87th match minute, Smiddy Celts was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jack Griffin to maneuver through the defense. Jonas Gutiérrez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ray McLeish tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Astor Illart notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Smiddy Celts's Ray McLeish. Ray McLeish was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Astor Illart kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
