Spectators: 7463 (Terracing: 5598, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edward van Asten started the match with the kick off. SCARFACE's Giovanni Braamhaar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save SCARFACE from getting a goal against them. With his leg Giovanni Braamhaar managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Flamengo FC's Arlindo Leão fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jurgen Ottens scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serginho Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jouke Boon kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Edward van Asten notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Flamengo FC's Serginho Azevedo. Serginho Azevedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 33rd minute of the match SCARFACE got a corner. Flamengo FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edward van Asten ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led SCARFACE's Jouke Boon to a score. 0-3 in the 33rd minute. When Toni Zwarthoet came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the SCARFACE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toni Zwarthoet couldn't finish the play. After the first half SCARFACE were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arlindo Leão made a kick off. Jouke Boon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Flamengo FC's Elano Ceresso got a free kick in the 57th minute. Jouke Boon took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serginho Azevedo. Serginho Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Jurgen Ottens took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Serginho Azevedo to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jurgen Ottens in the 75th minute of play forced Flamengo FC's goalkeeper Serginho Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flamengo FC's Serginho Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurgen Ottens in the 75th minute of play. Jurgen Ottens struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Serginho Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SCARFACE. Renato Ortiz charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Renato Ortiz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd match minute, Flamengo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to SCARFACE getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Carsten Wielaert hit a great ball. If Manfredo Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serginho Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jordi Bömker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flamengo FC's Samuel Luz pulled a muscle in his back after 96 minutes and couldn't finish the game. A collision led to SCARFACE getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Jurgen Ottens hit a great ball. When the match was over SCARFACE could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Flamengo FC throughout the match.
