DINAMO's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mario Vauzelle 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dumitru Opincaru in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martial Laude saved Les diables noirs from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dumitru Opincaru in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martial Laude prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Les diables noirs were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after DINAMO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Thierry Henri took the corner. The corner led Les diables noirs's Thierry Henri to fire away a dangerous shot which Eugen Jupân despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 23rd minute Lucrețiu Nicodim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martial Laude saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basarab Zburliş blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martial Laude having to make a save. In the 29th minute, Sam Bertholet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugen Jupân was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After 38 minutes of play, Les diables noirs's Thierry Henri made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugen Jupân was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eugen Jupân took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Vauzelle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Lucrețiu Nicodim in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Martial Laude, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Martial Laude made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryszard Borcz in the 54th minute of play. Martial Laude took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumitru Opincaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sam Bertholet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Eugen Jupân tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. DINAMO's Eugen Jupân played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thierry Henri in the 59th minute of play. When Les diables noirs's Mario Vauzelle in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, Les diables noirs's Camille Thiéblemont got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Henric Casas shot from long distance in the 67th minute, but Martial Laude was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. With his leg Martial Laude managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when DINAMO's Dumitru Opincaru fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 69 minutes into the match, DINAMO's goal looked a bit too open when Sam Bertholet came free, but Eugen Jupân reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th match minute, DINAMO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dumitru Opincaru to maneuver through the defense. When Les diables noirs's Sam Bertholet in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DINAMO's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as DINAMO's Dumitru Opincaru slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Martial Laude. That made the score 3-1 after 78 minutes of play. Ryszard Borcz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the game, one of Les diables noirs:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Martial Laude, was totally fooled by DINAMO's Maxim Fința, who 85 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Martial Laude made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucrețiu Nicodim in the 91st minute. Martial Laude stood somewhat misplaced when Dumitru Opincaru came free in front of goal and shot 3-3 to the left of him in the 92 minute.
