In the 43rd minute, Tencho Mihalev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teodoro Gaufred was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucio Soin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nikola Drinov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Soin in the 51st minute of play. Yordan Kúrpachev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Teodoro Gaufred tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tencho Mihalev got free with Teodoro Gaufred in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 60 minutes into the game, Alejo Lastur was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kaplan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laziali the free kick. Alejo Lastur hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Marcelino Ederono hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Laziali supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Laziali would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
