Mariano Nicholas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Victoriano Teofilio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 10 minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, PGE FC's Guillermo Eguen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mariano Nicholas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When Cristián Velazquez fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PGE FC's protests and gave Cristián Velazquez a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to PGE FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Cristián Velazquez hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Cristián Velazquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Horacio Cristofor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Horacio Cristofor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Diagur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mariano Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillermo Eguen, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Mariano Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Eguen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Nicholas made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Victoriano Teofilio sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th match minute, PGE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Odon to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Diagur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horacio Cristofor went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Victoriano Teofilio made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guillermo Eguen in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mariano Nicholas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 55 minutes into the game, PGE FC's Mauro Odon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mariano Nicholas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. In the 61st minute, Gil Godoi made a precise shot to the right of Mariano Nicholas. Boca Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. Horacio Cristofor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the game, Gil Godoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Mariano Nicholas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Eguen in the 71st minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Mariano Nicholas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Nicholas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guillermo Eguen's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Teofilio in the 76th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Mariano Nicholas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Acosta kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute of the match Leonard Corcoveanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mariano Nicholas skillfully saved the ball. In the 83rd minute, Mauro Odon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PGE FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marciano Haimar got free with Alberto Diagur in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 89th minute, Victoriano Teofilio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 90 played minutes, Boca Juniors's Dario Niva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alberto Diagur came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Boca Juniors reached it. After some careless play in the Boca Juniors defense, Virgilio Gauargi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariano Nicholas. The Boca Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariano Nicholas should have stopped the shot. In the 98th minute Guillermo Eguen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. PGE FC fully deserved thier win.
