The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Esquadrão Lusitano's Jardel Beaton got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 8 minutes into the match, Surahammar's goalkeeper Markus Asplund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jardel Beaton. Jardel Beatons short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Markus Asplund to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 9 played minutes Surahammar got a freekick which was hit by Erland Josefsson. Surahammar were furious when Stig Aronsson was red carded, 13 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Esquadrão Lusitano booed when Surahammar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig Aronsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Markus Asplund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Gomes in the 15th minute of play. Jardel Beaton kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. A collision led to Surahammar getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Tomas Helström hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Calle Askelöf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Surahammar's Markus Asplund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Beaton in the 36th minute of play. Patrik Smefeldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandrino Peixoto having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Surahammar's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Moutinho came free, but Markus Asplund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Surahammar's Carl Viklund got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Markus Asplund stood somewhat misplaced when Jardel Beaton came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 44 minute. Jardel Beaton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Markus Asplund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Markus Asplund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jardel Beaton in the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Moutinho in the 80th minute of play forced Surahammar's goalkeeper Markus Asplund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Markus Asplund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Gomes in the 82nd minute of play. Markus Asplund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jardel Beaton, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After 90 minutes of play, Esquadrão Lusitano's Josué Moutinho made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Markus Asplund was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 96th minute, Maurício Carreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Markus Asplund was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. There was no doubt that Esquadrão Lusitano were the better team. Esquadrão Lusitano's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
