The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Guillermo Lidon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Júlio Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Campidelis kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Fúria Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Lidon came free, but Júlio Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hernan Frichoso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luís Gustavo Carvalho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Hernan Frichoso made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Frank Campidelis sent off a good shot on target. After 21 minutes of play, Black Dog F.C.'s Omar Chinto made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio Porto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute Leonides Cerilo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hernan Frichoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Gustavo Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Chinto in the 39th minute of play forced Fúria Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Júlio Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Black Dog F.C. booed when Fúria Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilton Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonel Garikoitz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Júlio Porto having to make a save. Omar Chinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júlio Porto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guillermo Lidon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Gustavo Carvalho in the 53rd minute of play forced Black Dog F.C.'s goalkeeper Hernan Frichoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Chinto in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Júlio Porto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hernan Frichoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Campidelis in the 56th minute of play. In the 64th minute Guillermo Lidon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guillermo Lidon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júlio Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Cerilo in the 68th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Black Dog F.C.'s Júlio Porto threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guillermo Lidon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Luís Gustavo Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fúria Futebol Clube's Júlio Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Lidon in the 81st minute of play. Franklin Alves hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Júlio Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Lidon in the 84th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Prospero Nuxila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Black Dog F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Prospero Nuxila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Porto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Fúria Futebol Clube's zone, Omar Chinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Porto came out of the goal and Omar Chinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Guillermo Lidon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Fúria Futebol Clube's zone, Guillermo Lidon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Porto came out of the goal and Guillermo Lidon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Black Dog F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
