The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcelo Eufemio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Vachon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lisandro Lopez came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ezequiel Centurión could save by the left post. Marcelo Eufemio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Donzel in the 22nd minute of play. After some careless play in the La Maquina Retorna 【LBF】 defense, Lisandro Lopez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ezequiel Centurión. The La Maquina Retorna 【LBF】 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ezequiel Centurión should have stopped the shot. Eulalio Aimar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Racing Club【LBF】's Marcelo Eufemio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Donzel in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Club【LBF】's goalkeeper Marcelo Eufemio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Isaac Santos made in the 58th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jaime Cordero however managed to control. Aurelio Vachon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Eufemio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. La Maquina Retorna 【LBF】's Nahuel Dominguez quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Isaac Santos, made in the 64th minute of the game. If Eulalio Aimar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute of the match La Maquina Retorna 【LBF】 got a corner. Racing Club【LBF】's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alberto Donzel ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on La Maquina Retorna 【LBF】's corner Alberto Donzel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcelo Eufemio quite easily take care of the ball. In the 73rd minute, one of Racing Club【LBF】:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Racing Club【LBF】. Eulalio Aimar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paolo Kinsen hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 82nd match minute, Racing Club【LBF】 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gogo Geleberto to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Lopez in the 88th minute of play forced La Maquina Retorna 【LBF】's goalkeeper Ezequiel Centurión to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st match minute, La Maquina Retorna 【LBF】 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Quentin to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Quentin hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Racing Club【LBF】 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
