Carlitos Teves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rich Barth having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Gustavo Schelokov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rich Barth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celestino Barbosa's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Leopoldo Txema made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Rojas in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by the xeneise dream team's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Rojas was slow to take the kick. During this time Caaguazu's players had a chance to rest. Rich Barth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute the xeneise dream team were awarded a corner. Celestino Barbosa went to the cornerflag to take it. Carlitos Teves scored 0-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rich Barth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rich Barth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlitos Teves's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Carlitos Teves made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Daniel Rojas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 57 minutes into the game, the xeneise dream team's Celestino Barbosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rich Barth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Rojas in the 62nd minute of play forced the xeneise dream team's goalkeeper Leopoldo Txema to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Txema made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Rojas in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute Celestino Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rich Barth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes, Malvin Vidaurre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caaguazu and the the xeneise dream team players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Caaguazu getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Malvin Vidaurre hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Caaguazu's Malvin Vidaurre got a free kick in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Barbosa in the 68th minute of play forced Caaguazu's goalkeeper Rich Barth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caaguazu's Rich Barth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Caaguazu from getting a goal against them. Caaguazu's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Carlitos Teves scored to the left of an out of position Rich Barth, making the score, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kismi Sierralta in the 78th minute of play forced the xeneise dream team's goalkeeper Leopoldo Txema to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Caaguazu's goalkeeper Rich Barth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlitos Teves. Rich Barth was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Celestino Barbosa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Celestino Barbosa really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Angel Lico received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rich Barth came out and tried to block the shot, but Angel Lico slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 85th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Caaguazu's goalkeeper Rich Barth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celestino Barbosa. Leopoldo Txema made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Rojas in the 89th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Caaguazu got a freekick which was hit by Peter Arias. Celestino Barbosa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 92nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Carlitos Teves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over the xeneise dream team could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Caaguazu throughout the match.
