The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Spyros Kenteris made a precise shot to the right of Darren Tubbs. Valiant F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Darren Tubbs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Spyros Kenteris, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Windsor in the 18th minute of play forced Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Stergios Samartzis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 72 minutes Valiant F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alkis Salpiggidis who took care of the corner kick. Kolopetinitsa's Stergios Samartzis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Windsor in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Valiant F.C getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Dale Fawell hit a great ball. A hard shot 79 in the game by Dionysis Papageorgopoulos from a close distance when the talented Darren Tubbs managed to make a qualified save. Valiant F.C's players were relieved. Brian Colman's late challenge caught a Kolopetinitsa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brian Colman helped the player get up and apologised. Darren Tubbs was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Vassilis Karataidis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vassilis Karataidis really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Kolopetinitsa's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
