Spectators: 7777 (Terracing: 5833, Seating: 1789, VIP seats: 155) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sakis Tzorvas kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes Saronida FC got a freekick which was hit by Sotiris Pavlidis. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Lex Van Eycke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fauna Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Lex Van Eycke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vlassis Giannoglou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 9 minutes into the match, Saronida FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lieven Huybrechts came free, but Vlassis Giannoglou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Minas Rodanakis in the 11th minute of play forced Fauna Utd's goalkeeper Frederick Van Gorp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Minas Rodanakiss short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Frederick Van Gorp to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Charis Kastanakos took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Frederick Van Gorp to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Van Clijnebreugel in the 23rd minute of play forced Saronida FC's goalkeeper Vlassis Giannoglou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fauna Utd's Frederick Van Gorp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charis Kastanakos in the 26th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Quinton De Buyser managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fauna Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Quinton De Buyser was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vlassis Giannoglou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vlassis Giannoglou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quinton De Buyser, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Fauna Utd's goalkeeper Frederick Van Gorp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fondas Kouvas. Lieven Huybrechts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Charis Kastanakos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th minute, Willem-Jan Paelemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Bernard Vanden Bussche hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Saronida FC's Markos Renieris was substituted for Fondas Kouvas. A collision led to Fauna Utd getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Willem-Jan Paelemans hit a great ball. Vlassis Giannoglou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lieven Huybrechts in the 62nd minute. Vlassis Giannoglou didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abel Van Clijnebreugel went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Quinton De Buyser recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 71 minutes into the game, Lieven Huybrechts recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vlassis Giannoglou. Lieven Huybrechts showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 75th minute, Minas Rodanakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lieven Huybrechts's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vlassis Giannoglou firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 83rd minute, Fauna Utd's Abel Van Clijnebreugel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vlassis Giannoglou. Vlassis Giannoglou yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. When Markos Renieris fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saronida FC's protests and gave Markos Renieris a yellow card for diving instead. 88 minutes into the match, Fauna Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Markos Renieris came free, but Frederick Van Gorp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Saronida FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lex Van Eycke came free, but Vlassis Giannoglou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
