Spectators: 7886 (Terracing: 5915, Seating: 1814, VIP seats: 157) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gheorghe Craioveanu started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, Alexandria Team08 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corneliu Antohi to maneuver through the defense. 4 minutes into the match, Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper Silviu Dobrinescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Phil Greene. Silviu Dobrinescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duncan Nichols in the 12th minute of play. After 17 minutes, Sal Chamberlain mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ForestFire and the Alexandria Team08 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sal Chamberlain kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Gheorghe Craioveanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reed Molina having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dumitru Bosânceanu in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reed Molina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute, Todd Mayes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Roman Britton made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duncan Nichols in the 51st minute of play forced Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper Silviu Dobrinescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Seelmann kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Roman Britton managed to get in a good position for a shot. ForestFire's supporters rose to their feet, but Roman Britton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silviu Dobrinescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dumitru Bosânceanus short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Reed Molina to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 60 minutes into the match, ForestFire's goal looked a bit too open when Dumitru Bosânceanu came free, but Reed Molina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silviu Dobrinescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil Greene, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The goalkeeper, Reed Molina, was totally fooled by Alexandria Team08's Sebastian Ciolofan, who 66 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 70th minute Duncan Nichols shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silviu Dobrinescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hal Bonilla hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute of the match Alexandria Team08 got a corner. ForestFire's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sebastian Ciolofan ran over to the corner to take the kick. 78 minutes into the game, ForestFire's Lamar Knapp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silviu Dobrinescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Silviu Dobrinescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phil Greene, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Lamar Knapp scored 2-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silviu Dobrinescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. ForestFire's Reed Molina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gheorghe Craioveanu in the 88th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ForestFire had won after a very even match.
