Victor Kiliz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 林城谦 having to interfere. 白远延 might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mauro Cordearo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 白远延 ran back to his position shaking his head. 25 minutes into the match, Cylon's 白远延 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauro Cordearo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When 卓岩骋 came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Cylon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 卓岩骋 couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Van Field got free with 林城谦 in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute, Godfredo Salomone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by 白远延 in the 35th minute of play forced SOUTH THUNDER's goalkeeper Mauro Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Cordearo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 白远延, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 马剑冰 lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Cylon's 范悦洲 was substituted for 龙超益. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cylon fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! 林城谦 went to the wrong direction when Uriel Rosalio was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. When 罗珂桑 fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cylon's protests and gave 罗珂桑 a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SOUTH THUNDER booed when Cylon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. 罗珂桑 didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Van Field was the one to do the kick off. 白远延's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauro Cordearo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. When 卓岩骋 fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cylon's protests and gave 卓岩骋 a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cylon getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. 卓岩骋 hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, one of SOUTH THUNDER:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SOUTH THUNDER. In the 61st minute, 白远延 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 林城谦 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Van Field in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute, 邓远默 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cylon made a substitution. 肖枫伟 replaced 罗珂桑. Cylon made a substitution. 沈迪志 replaced 白远延. After a rather tough play, Cylon's 邓远默 got a free kick in the 71st minute. A sloppy throw-in by Godfredo Salomone in the 73rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cylon's 沈迪志. When 沈迪志 came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Cylon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 沈迪志 couldn't finish the play. A nice corner shot did that 柳乐松 got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mauro Cordearo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 78th minute of the match Cylon got a corner. SOUTH THUNDER's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. 肖枫伟 ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mauro Cordearo made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when 沈迪志 sent off a good shot on target. 82 minutes into the match, SOUTH THUNDER's goalkeeper Mauro Cordearo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 沈迪志. 沈迪志 struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Mauro Cordearo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cylon.
