After 13 played minutes Boquenses got a freekick which was hit by Vinicio Bonadona. Segundo Botello charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Segundo Botello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Segundo Botello hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, MIT Craiova's Cristinel Bocaneț sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Javier Merexildo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Javier Merexildo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristinel Bocaneț's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristinel Bocaneț in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Javier Merexildo saved Boquenses from getting behind. In the 22nd minute Placido Bidari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Anghel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vlad Anghel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Frichoso in the 45th minute of play. Leonides Lawrence struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Vlad Anghel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boquenses. After the first half Boquenses were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 58 minutes, Segundo Botello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boquenses's supporters crossed their fingers, but Segundo Botello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodrigo Frichoso in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vlad Anghel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 63 played minutes MIT Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Pătrășconiu. Vlad Anghel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Segundo Botello in the 65th minute. Emil Glodeanu lost his temper 69 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When Liviu Ciolacu fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MIT Craiova's protests and gave Liviu Ciolacu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, MIT Craiova's Liviu Ciolacu got a free kick in the 75th minute.
