In the 10th minute, Jean-Paul Fromont hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Teinturier in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sandrinho Sabóia saved AF CERRADO from getting behind. Sandrinho Sabóia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jean-Paul Fromont in the 17th minute. A collision led to AF CERRADO getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Kaká Goiano hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Jean-Paul Fromont got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomás Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Goiano in the 33rd minute of play. Kaká Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustave Lechat having to interfere. Gustave Lechat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaká Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, AF CERRADO's Thiago Damião got a free kick in the 39th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Paulo Teinturier managed to get in a good position for a shot. R.C. Marseille's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Teinturier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandrinho Sabóia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luka Le Tiec's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Sandrinho Sabóia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kaká Goiano to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Paulo Teinturier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the R.C. Marseille and the AF CERRADO players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, R.C. Marseille's Paulo Teinturier got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Kaká Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Gustave Lechat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute Jean-Paul Fromont shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandrinho Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká Goiano in the 62nd minute of play forced R.C. Marseille's goalkeeper Gustave Lechat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Gustave Lechat managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when AF CERRADO's Kaká Goiano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 66th minute, Jean-Paul Fromont made a precise shot to the right of Sandrinho Sabóia. AF CERRADO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 70 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's goalkeeper Gustave Lechat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kaká Goiano. The supporters of AF CERRADO booed when R.C. Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Dubar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fabiano Jacinto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gustave Lechat. R.C. Marseille's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 96th minute, Kaká Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the AF CERRADO players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for R.C. Marseille.
