Manole Robu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Manole Robu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenny Lightfoot in the 21st minute of the match. Manole Robu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zenon Pawlik, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ion Otopeanu got free with Wlodzimierz Skonieczny in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Alfred Sobania had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kenny Lightfoot fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mitschullen SSA's protests and gave Kenny Lightfoot a yellow card for diving instead. Wlodzimierz Skonieczny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ion Otopeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cosmin Bocaneț got free with Wlodzimierz Skonieczny in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 45 played minutes Mitschullen SSA got a freekick which was hit by Jurand Pozorski. 47 minutes into the match, Mitschullen SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Ion Otopeanu came free, but Wlodzimierz Skonieczny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Mitschullen SSA's Kenny Lightfoot got a free kick in the 51st minute. The Valar's Claudiu Iorgovan got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Cosmin Bocaneț managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Valar's supporters rose to their feet, but Cosmin Bocaneț was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wlodzimierz Skonieczny breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When The Valar's Andrei Davidescu in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Wlodzimierz Skonieczny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrei Davidescu in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mitschullen SSA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Andrei Davidescu was slow to take the kick. During this time The Valar's players had a chance to rest. Lucian Ştirbu hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Alfred Sobania received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Manole Robu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Mitschullen SSA booed when The Valar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudiu Iorgovan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Jurand Pozorski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Mitschullen SSA defense, Andrei Davidescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wlodzimierz Skonieczny. The Mitschullen SSA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wlodzimierz Skonieczny should have stopped the shot. After having played for 87 minutes, Kenny Lightfoot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mitschullen SSA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kenny Lightfoot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frodo Baggins hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Jurand Pozorski kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
