Jesus Romero started the match with the kick off. In the 15th minute, Cristóvão Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of PREZULO FC booed when Arrecifes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th match minute, Arrecifes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elvio Victoro to maneuver through the defense. Cleto Erramun made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Gustavo Tasso sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Romero in the 33rd minute of play forced PREZULO FC's goalkeeper Samuca Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Nazário De Lima in the 34th minute of play forced Arrecifes's goalkeeper Cleto Erramun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuca Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Romero in the 36th minute of play. Samuca Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trevor John Bailey, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronaldo Nazário De Lima to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trevor John Bailey in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuca Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Arrecifes's Trevor John Bailey in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PREZULO FC's goalie prevented a goal. 59 minutes into the match, Trevor John Bailey dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Samuca Reis, 1-2. Trevor John Bailey might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuca Reis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Trevor John Bailey ran back to his position shaking his head. PREZULO FC's Samuca Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trevor John Bailey in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to PREZULO FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. César Vieira hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Arrecifes's Jesus Romero got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Cleto Erramun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Tasso in the 77th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldo Nazário De Lima in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cleto Erramun saved Arrecifes from getting behind. In the 80th minute, Arrecifes's Trevor John Bailey dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. When Jesus Romero fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arrecifes's protests and gave Jesus Romero a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Arrecifes's Jesus Romero got a free kick in the 84th minute. Cleto Erramun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Corrêa in the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the game, Trevor John Bailey recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Samuca Reis. Trevor John Bailey showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Arrecifes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
