Ivar Albohm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Carrillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Giga Mønster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Chorche having to interfere. Giga Mønster hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. With his leg Ivar Albohm managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Federico Veremundo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 15 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Giga Mønster came free, but Uriel Chorche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16 minutes of play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Guido Carrillo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivar Albohm was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Örjan Frisk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Strömsbro IF's Giga Mønster in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalie prevented a goal. Uriel Chorche stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giga Mønster's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 23rd match minute, Strömsbro IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olof Falk to maneuver through the defense. Uriel Chorche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Örjan Frisk in the 29th minute of play. When Marcial Frasco came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcial Frasco couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Joel Abastas got a free kick in the 38th minute. Ivar Albohm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Carrillo in the 41st minute of the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Giga Mønster managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Strömsbro IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giga Mønster was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kenny Liljeström during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kenny Liljeström hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Örjan Frisk made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Kenny Liljeström notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Uriel Chorche. Uriel Chorche was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Örjan Frisk received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Uriel Chorche came out and tried to block the shot, but Örjan Frisk slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 60th minute. Federico Veremundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Strömsbro IF made a substitution. Georg Ek replaced Kenny Liljeström. Ivar Albohm made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 91st minute Örjan Frisk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Chorche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Henric Ek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Strömsbro IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA the free kick. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
