After 17 minutes All Stars Gent's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Christopher Melberg who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Villiam Olofsson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Yvan Poets quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jesper Tomasson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Raphaël Boede showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, Golden Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt Lindman to maneuver through the defense. Theo Vandendriessche kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Henrik Vervaet's late challenge caught a Golden Lions FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henrik Vervaet helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Golden Lions FC booed when All Stars Gent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrik Vervaet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jesper Tomasson made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Theo Vandendriessche sent off a good shot on target. Yvan Poets took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nalie Brzęczyszczykiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All Stars Gent's Yvan Poets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Villiam Olofsson in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, All Stars Gent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulus Everaerts to maneuver through the defense. Yvan Poets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Villiam Olofsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a defensive mix-up in Golden Lions FC's zone, Mathijs de Pelsmaecker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesper Tomasson came out of the goal and Mathijs de Pelsmaecker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jesper Tomasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Vandendriessche in the 54th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Nalie Brzęczyszczykiewicz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Nalie Brzęczyszczykiewicz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Yvan Poets came out and tried to block the shot, but Nalie Brzęczyszczykiewicz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 62nd minute. 67 minutes into the match, All Stars Gent's goal looked a bit too open when Villiam Olofsson came free, but Yvan Poets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norbert Boegaert kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The supporters of All Stars Gent booed when Golden Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niklas Kinell didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Villiam Olofsson in the 80th minute of play forced All Stars Gent's goalkeeper Yvan Poets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Golden Lions FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than All Stars Gent throughout the match.
