The audience thought a goal was coming when Qu Zhen got free with Uriel Chorche in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcial Frasco in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Björn Browall saved Söderbröder from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Veremundo in the 17th minute of play forced Söderbröder's goalkeeper Björn Browall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Niclas Tinglöv was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Söderbröder's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA the free kick. The supporters of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA booed when Söderbröder was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niclas Tinglöv didn't get a good kick on the ball. The wind increased when Matheus Baltazar made the kick off in the second half. If Guido Carrillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Qu Liang in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uriel Chorche prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 55 minutes into the game, Matheus Baltazar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Uriel Chorche was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Niclas Tinglöv might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Uriel Chorche. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niclas Tinglöv ran back to his position shaking his head. Uriel Chorche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matheus Baltazar in the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Marcial Frasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute, Valentin Åström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Björn Browall successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Uriel Chorche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matheus Baltazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 71 minutes into the match, Matheus Baltazar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Uriel Chorche. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matheus Baltazar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Söderbröder made a substitution.
