Spectators: 7771 (Terracing: 5829, Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 155) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Osvaldo Birjaio started the match with the kick off. Silverio Gonsalve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Eate, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. When Serafin Charro came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Cavaliers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafin Charro couldn't finish the play. Silverio Gonsalve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Eate in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Eate in the 15th minute of play forced Pegaso's goalkeeper Silverio Gonsalve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silverio Gonsalve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Eate in the 17th minute of the match. Higinio Eate blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silverio Gonsalve having to make a save. Silverio Gonsalve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Eate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Pegaso's Delmar Tabor got a free kick in the 22nd minute. When Lisandro Ferrer fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pegaso's protests and gave Lisandro Ferrer a yellow card for diving instead. Silverio Gonsalve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafin Charro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 played minutes Cavaliers FC got a freekick which was hit by Blas Jenaro. When Cavaliers FC's Higinio Eate in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pegaso's goalie prevented a goal. In the 39th match minute, Pegaso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casimiro Alfonso to maneuver through the defense. Jaime Villegas made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Benigno Pisculichi sent off a good shot on target. After 43 minutes, Guaberto Abalos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cavaliers FC and the Pegaso players grew even worse after the yellow card. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Higinio Eate was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Pegaso's Delmar Tabor got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Serafin Charro came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Cavaliers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafin Charro couldn't finish the play. If Serafin Charro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Pegaso's Silverio Gonsalve got control of the ball when Higinio Eate tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Higinio Eate left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cavaliers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Silverio Gonsalve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Eate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cavaliers FC's Jaime Villegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Pisculichi in the 79th minute of play. Osvaldo Birjaio hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute Higinio Eate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Gonsalve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Higinio Eate recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Silverio Gonsalve. Higinio Eate showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Melquiades Jakue hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 94th match minute, Cavaliers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Jakue to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute of the match Jaime Nevada sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jaime Villegas skillfully saved the ball. The Cavaliers FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cavaliers FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
