The supporters of Palmeiras booed when Mandalas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luan Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Mandalas's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Donatello came free, but Zeca Couve reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pegoraro Da Messina was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Marquinhos Ramalho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marquinhos Ramalho really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Cristian Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mandalas's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Vaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pegoraro Da Messina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 17 minutes, Magno Freitas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mandalas and the Palmeiras players grew even worse after the yellow card. Magno Freitas hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. José Carlos Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Zeca Couve tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Mandalas booed when Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Carlos Simões in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeca Couve saved Mandalas from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Carlos Simões in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeca Couve prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st match minute, Mandalas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Campidelis to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, Mandalas's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Donatello came free, but Zeca Couve reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cláudio Donatello was the one to do the kick off. After recieving a nice pass, Mandalas's Magno Freitas tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Waldemar Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mathias Campidelis hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the game, Marquinhos Ramalho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Pegoraro Da Messina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 71st minute, Mathias Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Mandalas booed when Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pegoraro Da Messina didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marquinhos Ramalho went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Marquinhos Ramalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pegoraro Da Messina was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. 89 minutes into the match, Mandalas's goalkeeper Zeca Couve had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cláudio Donatello. Cláudio Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Couve having to interfere. Mandalas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
