After 45 minutes, Lester Subili mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Modlau and the JuSi Malacky players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lester Subili hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ortle Sancho was the one to do the kick off. Lew Yashin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbert Šľachta, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. A collision led to Modlau getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ortle Sancho hit a great ball. If Ortle Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 94th minute Doctor Strange shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lew Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Modlau had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
