In the 30th minute, Segundo Balendin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jochen Baggenstoss was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 35th match minute, FC Rägi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxi Marti to maneuver through the defense. Juanito Beaudry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oscar Gines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juanito Beaudry in the 72nd minute of play. Efrain Elija received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jochen Baggenstoss came out and tried to block the shot, but Efrain Elija slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 73rd minute. After having played for 81 minutes, Christopher Wulf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Rägi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christopher Wulf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vikingos FC's Florentino Elixio was substituted for Braulio Eztebe. In the 84th minute, Pieter Montechiaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes into the match, Vikingos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christopher Wulf came free, but Oscar Gines reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Christopher Wulf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Vikingos FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vikingos FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
