Didiet Sujarwo started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Nacional booed when Begu Ganjang was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darius Wicaksono didn't get a good kick on the ball. Didiet Sujarwo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Katia Villalobos made a huge save. 10 minutes into the match, Nacional's goalkeeper Katia Villalobos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Didiet Sujarwo. After a defensive mix-up in Begu Ganjang's zone, Giro Horduña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. M. Dedy Oddang came out of the goal and Giro Horduña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Katia Villalobos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didiet Sujarwo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Didiet Sujarwo in the 19th minute of play forced Nacional's goalkeeper Katia Villalobos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nacional's zone, Didiet Sujarwo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Katia Villalobos came out of the goal and Didiet Sujarwo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 22 minutes into the match, Nacional's goalkeeper Katia Villalobos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Didiet Sujarwo. A collision led to Nacional getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Mikel Bascones hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Didiet Sujarwo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Katia Villalobos. The goal made the score 1-0. Katia Villalobos was a little too slow when Didiet Sujarwo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 2-0. A throw-in in the 41st minute of the game was made by Mikel Bascones with Gonzalo Carneiro as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Katia Villalobos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Didiet Sujarwo in the 44th minute. Nacional's Katia Villalobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didiet Sujarwo in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Ebere to strike the kick off in the second half. Darius Wicaksono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Katia Villalobos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Didiet Sujarwo struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Katia Villalobos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Begu Ganjang. Begu Ganjang made a substitution. Dewa Laut replaced Didiet Sujarwo. In the 65th minute of the match, Gonzalo Carneiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but M. Dedy Oddang saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 66 minutes into the game, Nacional's Gonzalo Carneiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. M. Dedy Oddang made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Katia Villalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dewa Laut in the 70th minute of play. Christian Ebere recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Nacional's Giro Horduña sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that M. Dedy Oddang narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Dewa Laut's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Katia Villalobos was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Nacional defense, Dewa Laut kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Katia Villalobos. The Nacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Katia Villalobos should have stopped the shot. Dewa Laut scored 4-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Katia Villalobos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bandit Baek charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bandit Baek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 93 minutes, Christian Ebere managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Ebere was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th match minute, Begu Ganjang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tri Pradnyana to maneuver through the defense. The Begu Ganjang players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
