Zelg FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Buzău the free kick. After a rather tough play, Zelg FC's Joao Rohn got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute, FC Buzău's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joao Rohn fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Laurentius Amberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aristide Vlădoiu's late challenge caught a Zelg FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristide Vlădoiu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Zelg FC booed when FC Buzău was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristide Vlădoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zelg FC's Joao Rohn got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aurelius Bolduc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Ţiţeica, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Islam Slimani managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Buzău's supporters rose to their feet, but Islam Slimani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelius Bolduc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Garron Korner kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Vlad Dragomiroiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. After a defensive mix-up in Zelg FC's zone, Eric Vornicu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelius Bolduc came out of the goal and Eric Vornicu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vlad Dragomiroiu took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurelius Bolduc. Aurelius Bolduc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joao Rohn made a kick off. Vlad Dragomiroiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelius Bolduc having to interfere. In the 55th minute Stefan Beller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Muscă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
