In the 3rd minute Lloyd Elding shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeca Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Saunders in the 7th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Barrenta SC's Luiz Fábio Lima got a free kick in the 8th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rio Dunn during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zeca Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Saunders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 minutes of play, Gone With the Win's Rio Dunn made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zeca Queiroz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lee Smith hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Rio Dunn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Queiroz having to interfere. Zeca Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lloyd Elding in the 23rd minute of the match. Zeca Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Saunders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 minutes Barrenta SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Simon Ellis who took care of the corner kick. Jack Saunders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Queiroz having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Barrenta SC's zone, Kyle Eglington stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeca Queiroz came out of the goal and Kyle Eglington tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. John Paul Metcalfe came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Barrenta SC's Evandro Vaz. But to his dismay, Evandro Vaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Mário Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. John Paul Metcalfe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Kyle Eglington made a precise shot to the right of Zeca Queiroz. Barrenta SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Evandro Vaz hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After 46 played minutes Gone With the Win got a freekick which was hit by Kyle Eglington. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Barrenta SC's zone, Jack Saunders stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeca Queiroz came out of the goal and Jack Saunders tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 55 minutes into the match, Gone With the Win's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fábio Lima came free, but John Paul Metcalfe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Gone With the Win getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Lloyd Elding hit a great ball. Gone With the Win's Jack Saunders got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barrenta SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Simon Ellis was slow to take the kick. During this time Gone With the Win's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Simon Ellis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zeca Queiroz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 63 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Saunders came free, but Zeca Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jânio Lopez's late challenge caught a Gone With the Win's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jânio Lopez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Barrenta SC's Jânio Lopez got a free kick in the 64th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 66 minutes into the game, when John Nelson put in a rough tackle. Barrenta SC made a substitution. Marquinhos Messias replaced Paulo Mello. Barrenta SC's Joel Sabóia was substituted for Evandro Vaz. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gone With the Win fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! In the 69th minute, Cido Miranda made a precise shot to the right of John Paul Metcalfe. Gone With the Win's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. During the 73rd minute of the match Jânio Lopez completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jânio Lopez a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 73rd minute, Jânio Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 played minutes Barrenta SC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fábio Lima. Zeca Queiroz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simon Ellis in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute, Lloyd Elding got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 80th minute of the match, Rio Dunn got a very nice opportunity to score, but Zeca Queiroz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After having played for 81 minutes, Marquinhos Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barrenta SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marquinhos Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zeca Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Eglington, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 87 minutes Barrenta SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Simon Ellis who took care of the corner kick. 90 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Zeca Queiroz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rio Dunn. Zeca Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Rio Dunn sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kyle Eglington in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeca Queiroz saved Barrenta SC from getting behind. The Gone With the Win supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gone With the Win would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
