In the 2nd minute, Libertad Sarmiento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frans Snell was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Sauveur Lisundia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc Lagerberg in the 9th minute of the match. Frans Snell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Libertad Sarmiento's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Real Sociedad's Libertad Sarmiento was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 15th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Sebastian Björnberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sauveur Lisundia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Olsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Marc Lagerberg put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sauveur Lisundia. 30 minutes into the match, Real Sociedad's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Lagerberg came free, but Sauveur Lisundia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andreas Olsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sauveur Lisundia having to interfere. Gaël Janssens's late challenge caught a Team Xtra personell's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaël Janssens helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Real Sociedad's Gaël Janssens got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 42nd minute, Sebastian Björnberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sauveur Lisundia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marc Lagerberg was the one to do the kick off. Marc Lagerberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Sauveur Lisundia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Igor Dillies's late challenge caught a Team Xtra personell's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Igor Dillies helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, Real Sociedad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Dillies to maneuver through the defense. Marc Lagerberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Sauveur Lisundia made a huge save. After 68 minutes of play Real Sociedad's Gaël Janssens was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 69 played minutes Real Sociedad got a freekick which was hit by Gaël Janssens. After a defensive mix-up in Real Sociedad's zone, Andreas Olsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sauveur Lisundia came out of the goal and Andreas Olsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute Vicente Millano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frans Snell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Libertad Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frans Snell having to interfere. Joel Tholsson charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Tholsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Real Sociedad's Libertad Sarmiento got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Real Sociedad's Igor Dillies got a free kick in the 85th minute. Real Sociedad's Sauveur Lisundia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Real Sociedad from getting a goal against them. Sauveur Lisundia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Olsson in the 94th minute of the match. The Real Sociedad fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Team Xtra personell were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
