After a defensive mix-up in La Candela FC's zone, Arthur-Maurits Verlinden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidio Mogel came out of the goal and Arthur-Maurits Verlinden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Etienne van Hacht made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Florin in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roano Santome in the 41st minute of play forced La Candela FC's goalkeeper Ovidio Mogel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cipriano Florin to strike the kick off in the second half. Xu Xing Nan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovidio Mogel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Ulan Bator Football Club's Etienne van Hacht played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severo Gelacio in the 56th minute of play.
