The crowd rose to their feet as Grütly's Evaristo Guillem slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristopher Herndon. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. Abel Polo charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 11th minute, Evaristo Guillem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wesley Cage in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidro Gregory saved Grütly from getting behind. The supporters of Inmortales FC booed when Grütly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Dolfos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grütly's Isidro Gregory played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesley Cage in the 14th minute of play. Isidro Gregory took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike Clinton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evaristo Guillem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristopher Herndon having to interfere. If Wesley Cage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavino Lia kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 28thth minute of the game Tony Frye who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grütly's Isidro Gregory was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristopher Herndon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Polo in the 29th minute. Inmortales FC's Mike Clinton got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abel Polo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Cristopher Herndon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Inmortales FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Gilbert Brooks hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Inmortales FC's Daniele Boffa got a free kick in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mike Clinton made the kick off in the second half. When Inmortales FC's Wesley Cage, in the 52nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Inmortales FC. In the 55th minute, Gilbert Brooks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute Evaristo Guillem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristopher Herndon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristopher Herndon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abel Polo went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Inmortales FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mike Clinton in the 82nd minute. After a rather tough play, Inmortales FC's Daniele Boffa got a free kick in the 83rd minute. When Saturnino Rey came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Inmortales FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saturnino Rey couldn't finish the play.
