Spectators: 8040 (Terracing: 6031, Seating: 1849, VIP seats: 160) KS LEW Chorzów's Edgar Degas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Robert Seychell took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herbert Oliszewski. Herbert Oliszewski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Herbert Oliszewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Seychell in the 8th minute of the match. Antoine Bugelli took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herbert Oliszewski. Herbert Oliszewski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Antoine Bugelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Leo Campana reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Clayton Gerada. The goal made the score 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Degas in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clayton Gerada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Gerada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Seraċini Għawdxin from getting a goal against them. With 33 minutes on the clock, Dariusz Misiewicz commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 32 minutes into the game, one of KS LEW Chorzów:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. KS LEW Chorzów:s Herbert Oliszewski showed great skill when he stopped Antoine Bugelli:s penalty. Herbert Oliszewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antoine Bugelli went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 45th minute Edgar Degas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clayton Gerada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgar Degas might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clayton Gerada. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgar Degas ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Andrew Miggiani made the kick off in the second half. Clayton Gerada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Degas in the 53rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Seraċini Għawdxin defense, Edgar Degas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clayton Gerada. The Seraċini Għawdxin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clayton Gerada should have stopped the shot. Clayton Gerada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Degas, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Herbert Oliszewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antoine Bugelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Wayne Schembri Zerafa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vince Galea made in the 66th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Richard Pavia however managed to control. 67 minutes into the game, Wayne Schembri Zerafa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seraċini Għawdxin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KS LEW Chorzów the free kick. Wayne Schembri Zerafa hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 70 minutes Seraċini Għawdxin's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stanyo Tanushev who took care of the corner kick. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Herbert Oliszewski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, KS LEW Chorzów's Herbert Oliszewski got control of the ball when Andrew Miggiani tried to sneak it across the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, KS LEW Chorzów's Roland Muusik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clayton Gerada narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Gerada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Degas in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, KS LEW Chorzów's Robert Bugajski got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The supporters of Seraċini Għawdxin booed when KS LEW Chorzów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakub Zjawin didn't get a good kick on the ball. KS LEW Chorzów's Herbert Oliszewski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save KS LEW Chorzów from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Seraċini Għawdxin had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
