Maraman Reitsma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerzy Gonsiewski in the 34th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Bialski Bastion Legii's goalkeeper Walery Bartelak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ted Borker. Ágætis Byrjun's Maraman Reitsma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michal Puzio in the 37th minute of play. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bialski Bastion Legii! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boguslaw Bartochowski to strike the kick off in the second half. Walery Bartelak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ted Borker went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 60th play minutes Ted Borker shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Walery Bartelak and just under the crossbar into goal. Ágætis Byrjun made a substitution. Mathias Huiting replaced Laurens Erenstein. In the 69th match minute, Ágætis Byrjun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaap Reitsma to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Gonsiewski came free, but Maraman Reitsma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ágætis Byrjun's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
