Mathias Linard's late challenge caught a Terceirense F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathias Linard helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Terceirense F.C. booed when Le Stade Briochin UC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Linard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicolas Guerreiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Gabriel Távora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute Baptiste Demestre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Enke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Le Stade Briochin UC's Gaël Rats was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 20th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Tord Waller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Távora in the 23rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Gaël Rats took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Robert Enke to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Terceirense F.C. getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Carlos Mafra hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Le Stade Briochin UC's Baptiste Demestre dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Le Stade Briochin UC's goalkeeper Tord Waller, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Carlos Mafra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Omar Cardot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Robert Enke made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 51 minutes of play, Le Stade Briochin UC's Gaël Rats made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robert Enke was left in no man's land by his defense there! Robert Enke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Cardot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56thth minute of the game Gaël Rats who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Terceirense F.C.'s Robert Enke was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Cardot in the 63rd minute of play forced Terceirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Robert Enke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Parente hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Terceirense F.C.'s Armando Parente got a free kick in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Le Stade Briochin UC's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Baldaia came free, but Tord Waller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Le Stade Briochin UC's Tord Waller got control of the ball when Anselmo Baldaia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th match minute, Terceirense F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Baldaia to maneuver through the defense. Omar Cardot took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Robert Enke. Terceirense F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Manuel Belém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaël Rats in the 96th minute of play forced Terceirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Robert Enke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
