The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hugo Araya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iker Cordairo in the 3rd minute of the match. Hugo Araya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mei Xing Qiang in the 4th minute of play. A collision led to Zorros del Desierto getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Simón Iturbe hit a great ball. Hugo Araya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iker Cordairo in the 7th minute of the match. Mei Xing Qiang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Araya having to interfere. In the 15th minute Mei Xing Qiang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Araya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Charmander City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Cordairo to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Pereyra stood somewhat misplaced when Cristian Insaurralde came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 22 minute. Hugo Araya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mei Xing Qiang, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After having played for 28 minutes, Cristian Insaurralde managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zorros del Desierto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Insaurralde was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After taking down the ball on Charmander City's corner Mei Xing Qiang fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hugo Araya quite easily take care of the ball. The audience was convinced that Mei Xing Qiang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Araya was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 37th minute, Mei Xing Qiang left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Charmander City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. A collision led to Charmander City getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Mei Xing Qiang hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Charmander City's goalkeeper Eduardo Pereyra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Insaurralde. When Zorros del Desierto's Cristian Insaurralde in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 46th minute of the match Fermín Montes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eduardo Pereyra skillfully saved the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The wind increased when Cristian Insaurralde made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Zorros del Desierto's Hugo Araya got control of the ball when Iker Cordairo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Zorros del Desierto defense, Iker Cordairo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hugo Araya. The Zorros del Desierto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hugo Araya should have stopped the shot. After 61 minutes, Herminio Mino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Charmander City and the Zorros del Desierto players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Zorros del Desierto booed when Charmander City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herminio Mino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 62 played minutes, Zorros del Desierto's Alfonso Parot shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eduardo Pereyra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zorros del Desierto reached it. 65 minutes into the game, Jonathan Donostia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hugo Araya. Jonathan Donostia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. 71 minutes into the match, Zorros del Desierto's goalkeeper Hugo Araya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mei Xing Qiang. Clodoveo Txeru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Araya having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mei Xing Qiang in the 77th minute of play forced Zorros del Desierto's goalkeeper Hugo Araya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zorros del Desierto's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mei Xing Qiang was slow to take the kick. During this time Charmander City's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Charmander City's corner Sharma Rojo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hugo Araya quite easily take care of the ball. Rolando González hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Jonathan Donostia kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After 81 played minutes, Zorros del Desierto's Mar Acou shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eduardo Pereyra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zorros del Desierto reached it. Simón Iturbe charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simón Iturbe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th minute Mei Xing Qiang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Araya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute Charmander City were awarded a corner. Mei Xing Qiang went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Mei Xing Qiang almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Zorros del Desierto's Hugo Araya did a great save. After 92 played minutes Zorros del Desierto got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Barco. When the match was over Charmander City could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Zorros del Desierto throughout the match.
