Serafino Rico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anıl Ege Devlet, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After a rather tough play, Kaplan's Lucio Soin got a free kick in the 9th minute. Şafak Şeref kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Samsunspor's Yakup Kadri Tekin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Samsunspor from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute, Şafak Şeref made a precise shot to the right of Serafino Rico. Kaplan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 20th match minute, Samsunspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Namık Kemal Yenal to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Kaplan's Lucio Soin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yakup Kadri Tekin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alejo Lastur who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Yakup Kadri Tekin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Yakup Kadri Tekin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustin Quinito, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Alejo Lastur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yakup Kadri Tekin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Yakup Kadri Tekin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from German Brais, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half Samsunspor were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alejo Lastur made a kick off. Lucio Soin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Yakup Kadri Tekin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Şafak Şeref could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Serafino Rico made a huge save. When Ismael Qwinton fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kaplan's protests and gave Ismael Qwinton a yellow card for diving instead. 60 minutes into the match, Kaplan's goal looked a bit too open when Mecnun Başer came free, but Serafino Rico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Kaplan's German Brais got a free kick in the 61st minute. Kingsley Schindler might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Serafino Rico. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kingsley Schindler ran back to his position shaking his head. Samsunspor's Yakup Kadri Tekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Mambru in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, İsmail Orhun Aktaşoğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Samsunspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kaplan the free kick. In the 65th minute, İsmail Orhun Aktaşoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the match, Samsunspor's goal looked a bit too open when Alejo Lastur came free, but Yakup Kadri Tekin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Kaplan's goalkeeper Serafino Rico had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mustafa Oğuz Gülle. After 76 minutes of play Samsunspor's İsmail Orhun Aktaşoğlu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. İsmail Orhun Aktaşoğlu hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Şafak Şeref took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serafino Rico. Serafino Rico dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Mecnun Başer struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Serafino Rico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samsunspor. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Şafak Şeref managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samsunspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Şafak Şeref was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafino Rico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute, Leo Rayman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yakup Kadri Tekin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The Samsunspor players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
