SAN LORENZO FC's Gerardo Romelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon Fischer in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Placido Laurgain. In the 5th minute of the match Fredrik Iqbal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gerardo Romelio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nereo Rodas hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute of the match Kent Eggum sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gerardo Romelio skillfully saved the ball. If Ermegildo Llanos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 10th minute Placido Laurgain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Haug saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Jorge Rinaldi made a precise shot to the right of Christian Haug. Kjønstad BF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 15th minute, Jorge Rinaldi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorge Rinaldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Haug having to interfere. Christian Haug showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Rodríguez in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Karsten Thorkildsen made a precise shot to the right of Gerardo Romelio. SAN LORENZO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Fredrik Iqbal scored 2-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gerardo Romelio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karsten Thorkildsen got free with Gerardo Romelio in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jon Fischer made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Leonardo Rodríguez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Christian Haug managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when SAN LORENZO FC's Leonardo Rodríguez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Leonardo Rodríguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Christian Haug tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 62 minutes, Karsten Thorkildsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kjønstad BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karsten Thorkildsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th minute, William Nordstrøm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerardo Romelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karsten Thorkildsen in the 68th minute of the match. When Karsten Thorkildsen came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Kjønstad BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karsten Thorkildsen couldn't finish the play. SAN LORENZO FC made a substitution. Gavino Fortun replaced Ubaldo Jerardo. In the 75th minute Karsten Thorkildsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Romelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 78 minutes, Kent Røkke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kjønstad BF and the SAN LORENZO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kent Røkke kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. When Rigoberto Bitxintxo fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SAN LORENZO FC's protests and gave Rigoberto Bitxintxo a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Bitxintxo. In the 81st minute, Evelio Gorbea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Jorge Rinaldi notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Kjønstad BF's Christian Haug. Christian Haug was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 87th match minute, Kjønstad BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jon Fischer to maneuver through the defense. Ismael Ticho hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute of the match Kent Eggum shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gerardo Romelio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Fredrik Iqbal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kjønstad BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SAN LORENZO FC the free kick. The supporters of SAN LORENZO FC booed when Kjønstad BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredrik Iqbal didn't get a good kick on the ball.
