Spectators: 7496 (Terracing: 5623, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) Aguila Romana's Juan Martínez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Aguila Romana booed when Teachers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerónimo Gama didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes in the game Silvano Sales did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Plácido Fontoura. Loco Gatti came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Teachers FC's Plácido Fontoura. But to his dismay, Plácido Fontoura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Francisco Castanheira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juan Martínez went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 30 minutes into the game, Pedro Santarém was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Teachers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aguila Romana the free kick. Pedro Santarém kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Aguila Romana's Eugenio Austin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Zacarias Eiró in the 32 minute of the game. João lacerda's late challenge caught a Aguila Romana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João lacerda helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd match minute, Teachers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João lacerda to maneuver through the defense. Loco Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Plácido Fontoura, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Plácido Fontoura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loco Gatti having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Torcato Portela stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Francisco Castanheira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marciano Rio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Loco Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Plácido Fontoura, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 62nd minute, Plácido Fontoura made a precise shot to the right of Loco Gatti. Aguila Romana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Juan Martínezs short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Francisco Castanheira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. João lacerda got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 87th minute, João lacerda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aguila Romana's Loco Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Plácido Fontoura in the 89th minute of play. Plácido Fontoura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvano Sales got a throw-in 95 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Plácido Fontoura. Marciano Rio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Teachers FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
