After 40 minutes, Saúl Travassos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Teachers FC and the OROTINENSE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mario Garita to make the kick off. Teachers FC's Francisco Castanheira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Teachers FC from getting a goal against them. In the 64th match minute, Teachers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Sales to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Greivin Bermudez in the 66th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Teachers FC's Saúl Travassos. After 69 minutes, Zacarias Eiró mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Teachers FC and the OROTINENSE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Isidro Madrigal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Francisco Castanheira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Navarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Despite being the better team, OROTINENSE failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
