Atlético Arenillas's Roman Barrufet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Åke Västerstrand in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Atlético Arenillas's goal looked a bit too open when Björn Björnsson came free, but Roman Barrufet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Arenillas's goalkeeper Roman Barrufet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Stig-Åke Västerstrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xzaver Garival kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético Arenillas's Zambrano Llanderrozos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Olof Bergren. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Atlético Arenillas defense, Jens-Erik Vallengren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roman Barrufet. The Atlético Arenillas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roman Barrufet should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd minute, Daniel Haglund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olof Bergren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pinto Anda in the 38th minute of the match. In the 45th minute Lopez Coteron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olof Bergren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Atlético Arenillas getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Villegas Buzon hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jens-Erik Vallengren made a kick off. Jens-Erik Vallengren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roman Barrufet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Erik Vallengren in the 57th minute of play. The nice shot from Stig-Åke Västerstrand in the 67thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Roman Barrufet had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. The supporters of Atlético Arenillas booed when Blåränderna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrik Knutsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lopez Coteron in the 72nd minute of play forced Blåränderna's goalkeeper Olof Bergren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stig-Åke Västerstrand could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Roman Barrufet made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Arenillas's zone, Samuel Dahlberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Barrufet came out of the goal and Samuel Dahlberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jens-Erik Vallengren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atlético Arenillas's Roman Barrufet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Arenillas from getting a goal against them. Oskar Heggert kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Wellington Piñeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olof Bergren having to interfere. Olof Bergren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lopez Coteron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 95 played minutes Atlético Arenillas got a freekick which was hit by Lopez Coteron. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Atlético Arenillas were victorious despite being under pressure from Blåränderna for much of the match.
