Caio dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the game, Vágner Furlan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caskinha Sport Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blåränderna the free kick. The supporters of Blåränderna booed when Caskinha Sport Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 played minutes Caskinha Sport Clube got a freekick which was hit by André Netto. Pedrão Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olof Bergren having to interfere. Benê Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Dahlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Björn Björnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 31st minute of the match Vágner Furlan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Vágner Furlan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Blåränderna booed when Caskinha Sport Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Haglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benê Zonta having to interfere. In the 46th minute Jens-Erik Vallengren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benê Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jens-Erik Vallengren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jens-Erik Vallengren scored 3-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benê Zonta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Caskinha Sport Clube's Pedrão Castro got a free kick in the 74th minute. Benê Zonta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björn Björnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Blåränderna's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
