Spectators: 7523 (Terracing: 5643, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jens-Erik Vallengren started the match with the kick off. Geir Høyem hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Olof Bergren came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Saga TF's Sondre Aaslund. But to his dismay, Sondre Aaslund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Blåränderna's Tage Dahlqvist got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 16th minute, Robert Rundhaug sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Blåränderna's Olof Bergren didn't even have to move. Olof Bergren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sondre Aaslund in the 20th minute of play. After 20 minutes, Samuel Dahlberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blåränderna and the Saga TF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Samuel Dahlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. When Sondre Aaslund fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saga TF's protests and gave Sondre Aaslund a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Sondre Aaslund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stig-Åke Västerstrand made in the 24th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Björn Björnsson immediately put the ball in play. Daniel Haglund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Steffen Møgster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Geir Høyem left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saga TF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Olof Bergren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geir Høyem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sondre Aaslund made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Sondre Aaslund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saga TF's supporters rose to their feet, but Sondre Aaslund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olof Bergren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Saga TF booed when Blåränderna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Dahlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Blåränderna's Stig-Åke Västerstrand got a free kick in the 59th minute. Sondre Aaslund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olof Bergren having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Sondre Aaslund notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Blåränderna's Olof Bergren. Olof Bergren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Geir Høyem came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Saga TF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geir Høyem couldn't finish the play. After having played for 75 minutes, Jens-Erik Vallengren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blåränderna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens-Erik Vallengren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th match minute, Saga TF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Korsmo to maneuver through the defense. Aleksander Ødegården kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Blåränderna's Samuel Dahlberg broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Saga TF getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Emanuel Korsmo hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Stig-Åke Västerstrand's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Steffen Møgster was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. After 81 played minutes Blåränderna got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Dahlberg. Olof Bergren came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Saga TF's Sondre Aaslund. But to his dismay, Sondre Aaslund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The Saga TF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Saga TF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
